Back from a week away visiting family and 2000 miles on the road. Now that we are back it is over 95 degrees most days and at least 100 degrees in the shop. The week is being spent mixing epoxy, spreading on fairing compound, sanding, and repeating the process. There are some good and bad things in the process right now. The bad are that it is really hot, the process is going a little slower than I anticipated, and I hate sanding. The good news is that it is hot, which helps the epoxy cure faster (it seems the heat is a double edged sword,) and we are close to get this hull sheathed, faired, and out of the main shop. With the learning curve, our special tool in the new shop, and open space, the second hull will go much more quickly than the first.
